Hop Lola Hop - UK Library Mini Tour

#Day2 of our Library Mini Tour brought us to beautiful Fulham, where we got to share our book not once but twice (!) with children and their grown ups.

The children also told us about the time they were looking for their special toy, some incidents sounding very familiar 😅Yes, our Lola also loves to play hide and seek with the bedding !!

During our arts and crafts activity, we had Lola finding a secret rainbow door in the park. Another craft showed Lola’s visit to a house made of candy. And then there was a set of keys that gets Lola access to a rather magical shoe shop! So many more ideas for adventures our little toy bunny could go on….

In case you missed these events, our little book has since found a new home on the library shelves, waiting to be read and enjoyed many times over !!

Thank you to both Wimbledon and Fulham Library for inviting us and making these events a success. We will gladly come back !

There’s always time and room for stories.

Lola and I were lucky to have been invited to share our book HOP LOLA HOP with little story lovers and their grown ups on a recent mini tour to libraries in South West London.

It was full house with 39 adults and children in attendance at Wimbledon Library on Tuesday, August 9. This storytime was extra special as these children were familiar with some of the sights depicted in our book. Cityscape and landscape illustrations in Hop Lola Hop were inspired by Wimbledon Village life. The children and I enjoyed looking at the map scene together and identified some of the shops and local landmarks, including beautiful Wimbledon Common.

We then got crafty and the children created some fun 3D cards showing different adventures they would take Lola on from the ice cream shop to the playground and a friend’s birthday party. Lola and I created our own 3D card too, an adventure to Wimbledon library - the finished card has now found a new home on the shelf in the reception area at Wimbledon library.
